Earlier this week Delicata picked up another two awards for their wines in two separate wine competitions held recently in London. One of the commendations awarded was for the winemakers 2009 vintage Gran Cavalier barrel matured, late harvest Syrah D.O.K. Superior Malta, which was won at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. The other commendation was given to the 2010 vintage Medina Girgentina Chardonnay D.O.K. Malta at this year’s long established London International Wine Challenge. Both awards were announced at this year’s London International Wine & Spirit Fair which was held at the London ExCel centre earlier this week.
These two commendations come on top of the two other awards won for Delicata’s QWPSR wines earlier this year, which was a Silver medal in Paris, again for the 2009 Gran Cavalier Syrah, and a Bronze medal in Bordeaux for Delicata’s popular Rose Gellewza Frizzante made entirely from Malta’s unique indigenous red grape variety. This brings the Delicata ‘medal count’ up to an impressive 80 international awards. |
