A limited edition wine has been produced and bottled by Emmanuel Delicata to commemorate the 2009 Lejl f’Casal Fornaro which starts tomorrow evening from 7.00pm onwards. Only 120 bottles of the red wine have been produced and they will only be on sale at the Qormi event. The wine which has been branded Casal Fornaro is made from 100% D.O.K. Malta Shiraz from the 2008 vintage and is classified as Superior.

It is a robust red wine with concentrated fruit flavours and soft tannins. The wine is full bodied and although is ideal for drinking now it will also mature and keep well for up to five years if stored correctly. The wine will go particularly well with many of the food items being served at the events food stalls including, suckling pig, various pasta dishes and Maltese rabbit.
