Delicata has kicked off the year in good form, as it received news that its first batch of 2008 white and rose wines submitted for D.O.K. classification were given approval. Samples of the 2008 vintage wines (white and rose only),which were sent abroad for independent accreditation before Christmas, are from Delicata’s, Medina, Victoria Heights and Gran Cavalier ranges of wine. “This is great news” said a spokesperson from the winery. “Especially for some of the wines where we had sold out of the 2007 vintage. It means we can now bottle the new wines and get the fresh vintage out to our clients, for the consumers to enjoy, as soon as possible”. “We have also been given approval for a couple of new wines, soon to be released, but more on that later” he said.

2008 vintage red wines from Delicata’s popular wine brands have also recently been submitted for accreditation and the winery hopes to receive ‘good news’ on their classification soon.
