At this years prestigious London International Wine Fair, which takes place at ExCel between 20-22nd May, three of Malta’s leading winemakers have joined forces and are to exhibit together.
For the very first time the three independent wineries have taken the initiative and created a Malta National Pavilion (stand O.10) rather than exhibiting individually.
“Emmanuel Delicata, Marsovin and Camilleri wines will be showing a united Malta front for the very first time” a spokesperson said. “ Together we can make much more of an impact at a wine trade fair like this, which is littered with National Pavilions from practically every major wine growing country in the world including our neighbouring Mediterranean competitors like Cyprus, Italy, France, Spain and Greece”.
“As the Wines of Malta we will only be exhibiting the authentic quality wine brands produced entirely from Malta and Gozo grown grapes and we will be promoting the newly introduced Q.W.P.S.R.- D.O.K. and I.G.T. classifications with one voice. Between the three winemakers we have some fantastic wine brands and a selection of wine styles that complement each other and really showcase the best of Maltese winemaking”.
“In comparison to other Mediterranean wine producers we have no doubt that our unique Malta wines produced from both indigenous and noble grape varieties will shine. We have a wide choice of well made, fruit packed quality wines that are well presented and offer good value, something all wine buyers and wine critics will be looking for. But in addition to that we will be appearing as a relatively ‘new kid on the block’ and that is always something guaranteed to get peoples attention” the spokesperson concluded.
