Starting next Friday 19th June, Pavi kicks off its 3 day Summer Fest 2009 at its supermarket premises in Qormi and Delicata will be there exhibiting its new exclusive range of I.G.T. Maltese Island wines PJAZZA REGINA.
This exciting new ‘purpose built’ range of I.G.T. wines sets new standards when it comes to Malta grown wines vis-a-vis quality and value. There are 3 wines in the new range, each made from an exciting blend of interesting grape varieties that up until now are totally unique amongst Maltese wines. The white is a crisp refreshing dry wine made from a delightful blend of Chardonnay, Vermentino and Viognier whereas the Rose is made from a unique blend of two of Malta’s top rose wine grapes, Gellewza and Grenache. As for the red a soft mellow wine has been created by the skilful blending of locally grown Syrah, Merlot and Sangiovese.
At the Pavi Summer Fest (19th- 21st) Delicata will be exhibiting the wines in a number of ways. There will be a Wine Tent set up outside Pavi where wine enthusiasts can try the wine by the glass and inside there will be an amazing Summer Fest offer on Pjazza Regina over the week-end. In the supermarkets restaurant La Castellana, now run by one of Malta’s leading chefs Michael Cauchi, there will also be a special offer on the wine for diners to take advantage of. Down in the supermarkets impressive wine cellars, La Vigne, there will be tutored wine tastings entitled ‘Blending in’ where Delicata representatives will explain in detail the art of blending different grape varieties with each other. These sessions will take place between 1800 – 1900hrs and 19.30 – 20.30hrs on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th.
In addition to the Delicata wine events there are numerous food stalls, a beer & minerals tent, other stalls of interest, extended shopping hours, children’s animation and bouncing castle and a different selection of live entertainment each evening, including well known performers like Chiara, Fabrizio and Claudia Faniello, Olivia Lewis, Ozzy Lino and band, Zoo, J. Anvil, Joe Demicoli, Freddie Portelli and many more. Entrance to the Summer Fest is free and the doors open at 17.00hrs. |
