VALENTINE’S WEEKEND & MEDINA
12.02.2010

Normal.dotm 0 0 1 271 1549 MAS Communications 12 3 1902 12.0 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false This weekend at selected restaurants and wine bars all over Malta and Gozo, Delicata is conducting a Valentine’s Weekend promotion. Although officially Valentines Day is on Sunday, many restaurants are offering special menus for the whole weekend in the hope of attracting those romantic couples who might find a Sunday inconvenient! Luv ain’t what it used to be me thinks!! Anyway, for all those diners dining out tonight, tomorrow or Sunday, look out for the Delicata Valentines posters (see advert below) and you will know if that establishment is part of the promotion or not.

The Valentines promotion itself is all about Delicata’s quality varietal range Medina and goes like this. Simply order any bottle of Medina during Valentine’s weekend, fill out a tentcard which will be available in the participating outlet and you could win a year’s free supply of Medina wine for you and for the place where you bought it.

The popular range of Medina D.O.K. wines consists of 10 wines to choose from, so finding something you like shouldn’t be a problem. For the whites there is a Chardonnay, a Vermentino Zibibbo blend (if your dining out Oriental style make sure to try this), a Girgentina Chardonnay blend and a Sauvignon Blanc. As for the reds there is a Merlot, a Syrah Carignan Grenache blend, a Sangiovese, a Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc blend and a Syrah. Finally there is a delicious Rose made entirely from Grenache.

For those people entering, you stand the chance of winning 3 prizes. First prize is 20 cases of Medina for the winner and 20 cases for the place where it was purchased. Second prize is 15 cases and finally a third prize of 10 cases. The winners will be announced at the Delicata Open Day, which is taking place at their winery on the waterfront in Marsa, on Sunday 28th March 2010 (opening hours 10.00 – 18.00).
