2007 MEDINA VERMENTINO ZIBIBBO D.O.K. MALTA.

A new wine from Delicata bottled at the end of July, is a unique white wine for Malta. 

It is a refreshing, crisp, aromatic dry white wine made from a blend of Malta grown Vermentino and Zibibbo grape varieties.  The wine is being sold under the increasingly popular Medina brand, it is from the 2007 vintage and classified as D.O.K. Malta. State-of-the-art winemaking technology has been used to maximize the aromas and fruitiness of this elegant, easy drinking white wine. Due mainly to the characteristics of the very floral and spicy Zibibbo grape this wine has a distinct style and flavour that makes it an ideal accompaniment to food dishes that use a lot of herbs and spices, in particular Chinese food, Thai, Malaysian and some Indian dishes.  It is also a good pairing partner for Fusion food dishes where a combination of flavours exists within a particular dish.  Served well chilled it also makes the perfect aperitif or picnic wine.
