To celebrate this year’s world cup, Emmanuel Delicata has come up with an initiative whereby participating soccer fans can win free bottles of Delicata’s award winning wine Pjazza Regina. In many of the islands ‘big screen’ bars, Delicata in conjunction with the outlet concerned is running a competition where viewers will be asked to predict certain out comings relevant to each game. They are being asked to name in advance (twenty minutes before kick off) the first player to score and forecast both the half time and full time scores (including extra time but not penalties). For every correct answer the winner will receive a complimentary bottle of either red, white or rose 75cl Pjazza Regina I.G.T. Maltese Islands quality wine to take home. In certain establishments the owners have actually gone further by offering any person who predicts all three answers correctly, a free meal for two persons including wine, absolutely free. Participating establishments in the St. Paul’s Bay area include: The Oracle casino, Misty Blue sports bar, Sportsmania, Sportsaholic, Sirens Aquatic sports club, Fat Harrys, Bognor Beach wine bar and Ta-Ghazzenin lido. In Mellieha there is the 120 bar and the Reflections pub. Then there are Dunes at SAS Radisson Golden Sands and Fat Harrys at the Malta International Airport.
