ĠNIEN IL-KUNSILL, NADUR, GOZO
Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026
Wine, music and summer evenings in Nadur, Gozo

A GOZITAN SETTING LIKE NO OTHER
Each August, as evening settles over Nadur and the island eases into its night-time rhythm, the village square fills with music, conversation and the clink of glasses.
This year, the Delicata Classic Wine Festival returns to the viticultural heart of Gozo for its 22nd year on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August 2026.
Once again this scenic Gozitan village comes alive as the Delicata Classic Wine Festival gets underway at the Ġnien il-Kunsill (Google Map). This is not simply a wine event; it is a highlight of the Gozitan summer calendar.
A SHOWCASE OF AWARD-WINNING WINES
More than 20 Delicata wines will be served by the glass, offering a true cross-section of the winery’s craft.
Sample our semi-sparkling Frizzantes (6 coins) crafted from rare, native old bush vines Girgentina and Ġellewża, or explore the delectable Medina (6 coins) and Victoria Heights (6 coins) boutique selections. The showcase also includes the noble mono-varietals of the iconic Gran Cavalier range (8 coins) and Malta’s most internationally awarded range, Grand Vin de Hauteville (8 coins).
Also featured are the sweeter lifestyle Dolcino (4 coins), the exclusive Falcon wines (4 coins), the lush Casella Moscato, and the popular Classic Collection (4 coins), alongside the vibrant Ziffa wines (6 coins) and Delicata’s SpritZZers (4 coins).
Whether you favour something fresh and vibrant or layered and complex, there is a wine for you with a story rooted in Malta.
HOW IT WORKS
Entrance to the festival is free. To taste the wines, you purchase a festival wine purse for €25. This includes a souvenir Delicata wine glass to keep and 24 wine coins, which are exchanged at the stalls for 125 ml servings.
All wines are served by the glass. No bottles. No tasters. Simply proper pours, enjoyed at your own pace. Glasses and left-over wine coins are not refundable and not convertible to cash or bottles. By purchasing you consent to the terms and conditions.
