Personalities Rise to Delicata’s ‘Songmelier’ Challenge

The Delicata winery has partnered with well-known Maltese personalities and social media influencers in what could be dubbed Malta’s very first ‘songmelier’ challenge.

Just for fun, TV personality Andrea Cassar, DJ Keith Panelli, artist-illustrator Zack Ritchie, celebrity chef Manuel Aquilina, singer and presenter Andreana Debattista and Melanie Kelly, just to drop a few names, were keen to beat-match Delicata’s Classic Collection of popular mono-varietal wines with their most favourite songs of all times.

After judicious music and wine sampling – hardly a penitentiary hardship – each personality has put together a very personal Spotify playlist of incredible tracks which they enjoy listening to with friends over a great glass of Delicata’s Classic Collection wines.

Why? Well, apart from being great fun, music and wine go hand in glove, and Delicata loves to share both with you! After all, wine, like music, ranges from powerful and gripping to mellow and soft, and the combinations are virtually endless.

Although the playlists have not been made up to pair with the specific characteristics of each one of the ten different wines in Delicata’s popular Classic Collection range, the song choices set a particular atmosphere for a wine appreciation experience that is engulfed in music.

And, because they are just too fabulous not to share, the different Spotify playlists are being revealed monthly one by one on Delicata’s official Facebook and Instagram pages so that anyone can listen in. So, why not twist the cap of any Classic Collection bottle, kick back and listen in on the music app Spotify, featuring great playlists co-created by Delicata and friends!

To jazz up things even more, Delicata fans may send in their own favourite song and Classic Collection wine combination via direct message to the winery on Facebook or Instagram. This Classic Collection fan playlist will be revealed later!

The Classic Collection is the popular range of single mono-varietal wines by Delicata. Each varietal wine is customarily named after a classic Italian composer but pairs perfectly with anyone’s favourite music choice regardless of its genre for that special moment of enjoyment.
